Hot Lunch User Agreement

Your use of Hot Lunch Web Service is your acknowledgement that you read, understand and agree to the following terms and conditions regarding the use of Hot Lunch:

  1. Enrollment: Hot lunch order placement and payment for the order session is available two weeks before the semester of lunch begins and for two weeks following with the assistance of a lunch administrator.

  2. Refunds: If you withdraw from the hot lunch program within the first two weeks of the session, with the help of a lunch administrator, you will receive a prorated refund.

  3. Switching Days: After the first two weeks of the hot lunch session, you may not enroll in the hot lunch program independently, but will need to come into the office to do it. If your child becomes dissatisfied with any day for which they are enrolled we will switch or cancel the day for you and process the necessary refund. You will be charged a $5.00 order change fee for changes made after the deadline.

  4. Field Trips, Absences from School. There will be no per diem refunds for field trips or absences from school.

  5. Personal Data. The Hot Lunch Web Service contain a database of the families, including parents' and children's names, class, and a family e-mail address in order to manage lunch services, group e-mail accounts, and automated password resets. In addition, The Hot Lunch Website may contain a vendor contact information, account balance information, and payment information (check number and amount only). The Hot Lunch WebService does not store personal financial information.

  6. Privacy Notice: The Hot Lunch Web Service does not sell personal information to third parties.

  7. Release of Liability.The Hot Lunch Web Service assumes no liability for any harm, real or imagined, which may come as a result of ingesting food that was procured from a third party supplier in the execution of a school lunch program. Acceptance of this Agreement for The Hot Lunch Web Service represents your agreement to release The Hot Lunch Web Service from liability.

  8. Limitation on Recovery of Damages. You may recover from The Hot Lunch Web Service only direct damages up to $$1.00. You cannot recover any other damages, including consequential, lost profits, special, indirect or incidental damages.

  9. Use Rights. The Hot Lunch Web Service is available to members of the school community (administrators, teachers, staff, parents, legal guardians). All members have unlimited access to all of the web service functionality. The Hot Lunch Web Service does not accept responsibility for server outages that are beyond its control, such as might be expected if the web hosting contractor's system is temporarily unavailable.

  10. Acceptable Use.The Hot Lunch Web Service is made available to members of the school community (administrators, teachers, staff, parents, legal guardians) for the express purposes of managing hot lunch orders and data. Any other use by users will be considered unacceptable. The Hot Lunch Web Service reserves the right to disable and/or remove a user account if the user is determined to be accessing web services in any other fashion. Appropriate notice and discussion with the school administration will precede the disabling of a user account.
