  1. Wornickfest Date Change Moving to Wednesday, May 6

We are very excited to share with you that this year we are going to enhance the meaning of Wornickfest by aligning it with a fun and meaningful Jewish Holiday – Lag Baomer – one of the most beloved holidays in Israel – especially with young people.  Bonfires will be a focal point with singing around the fire, roasting marshmallows, and telling stories about Lag Baomer.  We will add archery, potato sack races, and other relay races to the fun. Wornickfest/Lag Baomer will continue to be our main PTO Fundraiser and will likely have the dunking booths again this year along with some other fun surprises.

Yes this date does have a couple of conflicts with the 4th and 6th grade out of town activities and we are sorry for that and promise to make it a very special event along with a great fundraising performance.

  1. Teacher Appreciation Week – March 16th thru 20th

Coming soon in February and March…Teacher Appreciation Week! This year, Teacher Appreciation Week will be March 16th-20th. Be on the look out for more Chai hour opportunities! Volunteer opportunities will be posted in February. There will be plenty of opportunities to show Wornick staff how much you appreciate them. Volunteer opportunities will include: food purchase and drop-off, set-up, clean-up, yard duty…to name just a few.
